WHY LOBSTER?

Lobster was a staple for the earliest people in Maine.  White explorers fished it as early as 1605.  It is a food that has been denigrated and exalted.  It provides livelihood for thousands of fishermen who struggle with the elements and imposed regulations to obtain it.  It has provided sustenance for prisoners and graced the tables of royalty.

Few foods native to America can match its history, the myth associated with it or the continued demand for it.

WHY A BANK? 

Banks store knowledge and wealth to be drawn on as needed.  The Lobster Bank™ provides a wealth of knowledge about a food that has become mythic far from its native shore of Maine.
